At Limited Abode our mission is to do what we do responsibly, ethically, fairly and with as little impact on the environment as possible. We aim to source sustainable and eco-friendly products where possible with a quality that will last.

As an e-commerce company, we know that our customers will judge us on the packaging that we use. To minimise our impact on the environment we always reuse packaging where possible and source FSC (The Forest Stewardship Council) boxes and packaging for our items. By choosing FSC®-certified packaging, we are supporting responsible management of the world’s forests and taking care of the world’s forests for future generations. We do our best to tread the fine line between excessive packaging and broken products, considering the environmental costs of remaking and re-sending items to customers.

Whilst striving to create a greener, more sustainable and socially responsible business we have reduced paper use in our offices and warehouse facilities, we've also switched to digital receipts and invoices to significantly reduce the environmental impact of our online business. 

We work continuously to improve, monitor and reduce our impact on the environment with efficient lighting, appliances and recycling, this also enhanced by employee awareness and training.

We have also considered environmental factors when deciding on our delivery couriers, our preferred partner has the lowest carbon emissions per parcel of any major UK delivery company. They also currently have a large fleet of electric vehicles which they are committed to increasing.

As the world continues to feel the negative effects of climate change, we will continually monitor and modify our processes to ensure the best environmental outcomes.
